Novel to Screenplay Adaptations
Rolling Seas take care of Novel to Screenplay Adaptations through the company's Los Angeles screenwriter Dan Guardino. Dan Guardino is represented by a WGA Signatory Agent. He is a Script Consultant for producers and production companies, with many screenplays and adaptations to his credit. Several of these scripts are optioned for production, or are in pre-production.

Rolling Seas Adaptation Fees are negotiated with every new contract entered into - taking into account any publisher film rights signed by authors within print publication contracts.
Expert Script Coverage and Analysis for Screenwriters
For an In-Depth Screenplay Analysis for $420 you will receive a 3-5 page report on the strengths and weaknesses of your script, addressing elements such as scenes, settings, character structure and dialogue. You will be provided with corrections on a page-by-page basis and will be offered tips on how to improve your technic as necessary. Scripts more than 120 pages will be charged $5 per additional page. Turn around time is two weeks.
For an additional fee of $340 we will make sure the script is formatted in the correct screenplay format, to industry standards, and have a professional proofreader read the script and check for typo and grammar mistakes and make the appropriate changes. Turn around time for extra work could take an extra week.
Screenplay & Script Consultant Services for Producers
Script Breakdown - $3250
Includes 20-30 pages of notes, including conceptual notes, a page-by-page analysis, includes additional read with polish notes after rewrite at no extra charge.
Script Consultation from Early Draft into Production - $4950
Includes consultation on treatment and outlines, complete Script Breakdown service, plus top priority status and availability through first week of production and includes up to four additional reads with polish notes at no extra charge.
Script Evaluation - $480
Service includes a reading of the script and a one page report on commerciality, general strengths and weaknesses, and a recommendation about whether to proceed to a consultation.
Script Integration - $2490
Sometimes producers or writers need to integrate two different drafts, choosing the best of both. This service includes cutting and pasting and, if necessary, re-structuring the script to use the best of two different scripts.
Script Cutting - $1490
Sometimes a script needs to be edited down to size. This service includes the cuts on the script, and annotations for any writing that the writer will then need to add or rephrase.
Additional Services:
Telephone consultations: $120 per hour.
Dan has extensive experience, adapting novels to screenplays, and has written several scripts for production. Dan is also a script consultant - Available for rewrites and adaptations for producers and production companies. Adaptations and rewrites shall be negotiated, and contracts signed before commencement.
