Jaw-Dropping Experience from Jack McCoy!

18th March 2012 - Australia: 'Everyone who walks on our beaches, everyone who swims in our oceans, becomes our family'. Legendary movie producer Jack McCoy will see his 25th surfing film released in cinemas around Australia this Thursday, 22nd March. Aussie Christmas

The Best Things in Life are Always Fee

November 29th 2011: Open Season and Madagascar, why not RooDooLoo?

While sleigh bells ring, snow falls, and snowmen celebrate the holiday season in the Northern Hemisphere, in Australian back yards barbecues smoke with sizzling stakes and sweet juicy prawns washed down by chilled beer loaded into Eskies filled with ice.

Two entirely different Christmas celebrations for one amazing world where presents fill lounge rooms and feasts of lavish spreads deck the halls and lighten the wallets… even for the children’s author Dominique Daniels who shows that the very best things in life are always free.

Created for children around the world, Dominique Daniels (Dee) takes children to a billabong in the Aussie bush to deliver the message that no matter where you are in the world, no matter if you are rich or poor, the animals of Australia still have everything they need to celebrate on Christmas Eve, and so do you.

Titled “The Twelve Days of an Aussie Christmas” Dee presents that natures wonderland supplies everything that Swagman will ever need to celebrate the Holiday Season. Christmas beetles cling to the branches of trees as ornaments, fireflies light up the leaves in treetops, moths of brilliant colors decorate the foliage, plus the parade of animal visitors to the billabong… even Blue the dog. There is a veritable feast of animals and birds in Australia just waiting under the Southern Cross for kids to take to heart. Twelve white kangaroos pull Santa’s sleigh, Matilda, emu is the only animal to ‘run the pants of kangaroo’, and koala hanging onto Joey from a branch to celebrate this one very special Silent Night.

Author and illustrator of the children’s book, Dominique Daniels, had this to say about the series. “The Australiana series has been a long time in creation just waiting for the right publisher to release the series. The stories themselves come from pristine places of beauty and moments in time when words beg to deliver the magnificence of Aus. A story is never far away when you visit in the bush.”

The author went on to say, “Where else in the world are there such unique animals? What other country has such deadly snakes or laughing and screeching birds? Australian animals are an animator’s dream. I’m surprised no major movie production company has taken on these unique animals and scripted the characters for a movie. The day will come, that’s a certainty, and with God’s grace the production will gross the box office hits Sony had with “Open Season” and DreamWorks with ‘Madagascar’.”

Choosing actors for the roles, Dee offered, “Billy Connolly’s voice for the screech of a yellow crested cockatoo dying of thirst as it flies into a billabong at Kakadu. The setting alone at the Top End is pure magic. The brilliance of Robyn Williams as Roo would deliver this bounding animal to new heights. It’s been said many times before, this is truly an amazing world, and with the young generations spending more and more time engrossed in modern technology these stories are a link to the wonderland of beauty waiting just outside suburban doors.”

Dominique Daniels has created a series of eighteen Australiana children’s stories to be published by Rolling Seas in 2012. The first of the books “RooDooLoo” was published in October 2011, followed by the release of the children’s Christmas story “The 12 Days of an Aussie Christmas” last week. Why not an Australian movie production from Sony or DreamWorks to equal “Open Season” and “Madagascar”. The characters are surely begging to be cast.

“The 12 Days of an Aussie Christmas” carries the message from Australia that the very best things in life are always free… just as one very special baby was born on Christmas night to celebrate the Holiday Season.

The Rum Diary starring Johnny Depp & Aaron Eckhart

The Rum Diary set to be a box office hit!

October 15th 2011: The Rum Diary production starring Johnny Depp, Aaron Eckhart, Amber Heard and Giovanni Ribisi is sure to be a block buster hit after its Premiere release at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art last night.

Based on the novel by Hunter S. Thompson the Puerto Rico romp also stars Michael Rispoli and Richard Jenkins. It's the brilliance of an "OMG" moment from the retired Director/writer Bruce Robinson of "The Killing Fields".

Johnny Depp said at the Los Angeles Premiere sponsored by Hugh Hefner that the movie was the brainchild of his friendship with the late author Hunter S. Thompson. Depp added, "Unfortunately, Hunter's not here tonight... well, he is here, but he's not physically here... and yeah, for me it's closure."

The Rum Diary has been a decade in the making, and worth the wait. It's the story of a freelance journalist, Paul Kemp, who tires of New York City life and heads to the Caribbean to work for a run-down newspaper. Amidst a group of lost souls bent on self-destruction and corruption, the action hots up.

Another brilliant production starring Johnny Depp!

Max Max Movie Production

Mad Max expected to go overseas

October 11th 2011: The production of Mad Max's 'Fury Road' is expected to go overseas after the arid Broken Hill setting bloomed from the big wet earlier this year. Director George Miller said that Lake Eyre was also out of the question as too many pelicans had flocked to the salt lake with the inland floods.

KMM, Kennedy Miller Mitchell Productions, the production company behind the revival of the Mad Max movies is said to have already paid the two-year lease on Station B at the newly constructed Broken Hill Studios. The Mayor of Broken Hill, Wincen Guy said, the town's film Industry had been going for 30 years, and even though it was a blow to the town itself it is expected filming will continue there in future.

With a wealth of arid Outback settings for Fury Road, the first of a trilogy of productions for Mad Max, the production going overseas may have more to do with finance and the Australian dollar, than the floods of earlier this year.

Fury Road is to star Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Hugh Keays-Byrne. After production for the post-apocalyptic film for the Mad Max series has been delayed twice, pre-production is now expected to commence in October.

The thrill of escape!

16th September 2011: When published authors spend years creating compelling stories, only to face the publishing agendas of major publishers with two-year production schedules already in place, there is only one sensible avenue to take and that is to release all new stories in eBooks for avid readers to enjoy ‘the thrill of escape’ that only great fiction can deliver.

Max Overton is one of those brilliant authors who has risen to the occasion by turning towards Past Times Books to promote eBook distribution after 14 of his novels have already been published. Five of the author’s published stories have been snatched up and adapted to movie scripts with acclaimed producers and directors already attached for production. Three of those stories are now in the development stages of production - the Australian/American trilogy “Glass House”, the horror/thriller and “The Devil is in the Details”. The Producers and Directors attached to the productions are Charlie Picerni Sr., acclaimed for “Gone in 60 Seconds”, Producer Josette Perrotta known for “300”, “The Mummy”, and “The Spiderwick Chronicles”, along with UK action director Vic Armstrong with a host of movie credits going as far back as the first “Indiana Jones” film. The action director Vic Armstrong released his hard cover stunt book “The True Adventures of the World's Greatest Stuntman” in 2011 to become a best seller.

Max Overton is a consummate storyteller delivering stories from days gone by to draw readers into worlds where action and adventure tumble over each other right up to the closing pages of timeless books. Past Times Books recently listed six of the author’s books for eBook distribution, the first two books of “Scarab” the Egyptian Series, the “Lion of Scythia” trilogy, and the first of the Demon Series “Rakshasa” that revolves around ancient Hindu gods and the Himalayan mountains. It will only be when the trilogy of books “Glass House” and the thriller “The Devil is in the Details” go into film production that major publishers will see that the Australian storyteller Max Overton was always worth the risk of print publication for bookstores around the world. “Djinn” is the second book in the Demon Series from the author.

When Max Overton was asked his opinion on the publishing world of today this is what he had to say, “Words are cheap for major publishers today, but never for authors who sweat and bleed to give birth to any new book. Authors hear the words, ‘You are a great writer but…’ and there is always a ‘but’... But unless major publishers can see an immediate profit from the launch of any new book they don’t seem interested in the quality of storytelling or the story plot. Profit is the determining factor for major publishers while self-promotion by the author is the long-term expectations to fuel those high profit margins from a limited shelf-life. The expectations by publishers of authors far surpasses the true nature of this solitary creature.”

Max Overton went on to say, “Authors are starting to realize that there is no need to be discouraged any more, the internet is open to all authors while social networking reaches millions in seconds. The argument that quality is only found within traditional publishing is nonsense. I’ve picked up print books from major publishers that are atrociously edited and also seen beautiful works of creativity emerge from small e-publishing houses. I still like to hold a print book in my hands but I also read eBooks from Kindle and iPods. Any publisher who relies solely on print books in this technology driven age is doomed. As the old guard of readers dies off younger generations of high-teck readers will take over, and print books will one day be relegated to specialist libraries.”

An exciting era for the publishing industry has emerged. Social networking is only a news flash away for the world so why not for new stories by authors that bring the greatest of pleasure to the human race. As a human race we are only ever limited by the depth of our imaginations and the technologies that lift us to the stars. Max Overton is one Australian author who will be read and remembered for centuries to come.

Lady Gaga receiving 2010
MTV VMA Award From Cher

Diva duet for Lady Gaga and Cher

24th August 2011 - Los Angeles: Due for release in September, Lady Gaga and Cher’s duet ‘The Greatest Thing’ could only come from the realms of ‘If I could turn back time’ and ‘On the edge of glory’, for pop music fans! Both Diva artists have climbed the charts in raunchy costumes they adorn in video clips that have won VMA Awards. And who could forget Cher bringing a ship load of sailors to their knees with ‘If I could turn back time’, or Lady Gaga taking audiences to ‘The edge of glory’ over the years. Both mega stars have set unprecedented heights for future singer songwriters to aspire too. Combine both in a duet and they are bound to rock the music industry hard in 2011.

Lady Gaga told MTV, she wrote the song ‘The Greatest Thing’ a long time ago but held onto it simply because it didn’t fit into any of her albums. Negotiations for the duet come about after Cher handed Lady Gaga the MTV 2010 VMA Award for Video of the year for “Bad Romance”. Gaga received the award in a ‘meat dress’ that left Cher holding the 'meat purse' while the performer held the Award high. It doesn’t matter if you are young or old the talent of these two mega stars always leaves audiences screaming for more, and who can blame them.

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards will air live on August 28th at the Nokia Theatre Los Angeles. Lady Gaga will open this year’s Awards, as well as being nominated for Best Female Video for “Born this Way”, Best Video with a Message, Best Art Direction for ”Judas” and Best Chorography. Rita the Red Wolf - Follow your Dreams

"Rita" the next big animation for Disney or Dream Works

8th August 2011 - Los Angeles: Chance encounters do make dreams come true and “Rita the Red Wolf” will be no different! This is the message animation production companies are projected to snatch up and run with in the near future.

The young adult story “Rita the Red Wolf” by Marjorie Walle was released in the heartland of Springfield, Illinois, by Ecriture in 2009. Reviewed by Karen Pierre of Earthspeak, Karen said, “This is a story to inspire young readers to follow their dreams”. From the woodlands to a zoo, the city and a farm, “Rita” is a future contender for Disney or Dream Works to seriously consider for animation production.

With a slew of memorable characters Todd Rutherford The Publishing Guru, said the story of “Rita the Red Wolf” is well worth the read. Characters burst into life with Silas the zoo museum guide who wants nothing more than to be a storyteller, but ends up being more of a teller of tall stories. Linneaus, an unusual silk Luna moth inspires and encourages Rita on her journey through the outside world. Janie, the farm girl who befriends Rita in her hour of need. Ron, the restaurant owner who sees something special in Dutch the fighting dog. Malun, a bully of a dog, a cur-dog who goes searching for trouble. Yorkies who run away from home on one of their adventures. A veritable host of characters that come to life through the adventures of “Rita the Red Wolf”.

To bring life to these characters, scenes from the story rush with dialogue from Dutch, the runaway fight circuit dog, who wants nothing more than to stop fighting. He growls at Rita, “Get out of here while you can!” Rita stands fast. Malun is a bully, the villain who stalks mercilessly. His blood-thirsty snarls bear white fangs. He lunges. A gash opens across Dutch’s chest and blood oozes over his coat. Something wild inside Rita snaps. She hears the cry of ancestors, “Wolf! You are a wolf!”. Rita strikes back.

The movie industry is the only industry that could do justice to the animatronic characters for “Rita the Red Wolf”. With a G Rated animation to bring a kaleidoscope of compelling characters to the big screen this is one young adult story Barnes & Noble will undoubtedly list as a best seller.

It will be interesting to see what Gaga comes up with this year to top her infamous ‘meat dress’.

The voices of angels come in many forms. The talent of Cher and Lady Gaga singing together will link generations of rock audiences with this diva duet for ‘The Greatest Thing’... and that has to be the greatest thing yet!

Angelina Jolie at Save the Children.

Angelina Jolie Saves the Children

July 14th 2011: Angelina Jolie is making a world of difference for the children of the world, but to save the children of the future the environment needs the flow of purified aquifer water.

Cleaner water is more than just talk

You can talk about clean water. You can write about clean water. You can voice concerns about clean water. You can raise awareness about clean water, but what is actually being done about purifying the world’s water supply today? Clean water is an investment in the future of the world.

Purified water is very rapidly becoming one of the most valuable commodities in the world and as climate change tightens water supplies for both agriculture and drinking, the urgency is apparent. According to a report released by the United States Department of the Interior, previous work by climate scientists has validated the findings of the long term effects of climate change on Western water supplies. The report presents that projected changes in temperature and precipitation are likely to alter the quality and quantity of stream flows in all Western river basins, creating water shortages in the summer. These studies not only apply to the Western water tables but the world’s supply of fresh water.

Bob Guardino from Welenco Water Well Technology Inc. said, “Our company in California is meeting this environmental challenge head on. Welenco has been actively involved in saving and restoring existing water wells throughout the western United States for three decades now. Our state-of-the-art equipment provides services to save and restore existing wells and purify aquifer water supplies. We use down-hole television cameras and geophysical logging equipment to identify problems in wells in order to come up with the best and most cost effective solutions. Some of these well problems include plugging, wear and tear, along with broken and collapsed casings.”

“Welenco has patent pending tools that combine hydraulic driven swages, with special types of brushes and well fishing tools, in one piece of equipment that can be used to repair and clean well casings and retrieve items contaminating wells to bring them back to purified drinking water.”

“The hydraulic swage tool we use under pressure reforms broken steal casings. The machine is precise enough to work in screen, PVC, and fiberglass wells, as well as oil and gas wells. The brush attachment cleans the well and restores its efficiency to increase the water available. Welenco has been utilizing this equipment for decades and with recent innovations is now in the process of manufacturing so as other water pump companies worldwide can use this technology.”

“We have an acid recovery system that can be used to remove contaminates, and also recover the acid used in the cleaning process for reuse at the rate of up to 100 gallons per minute, removing more than 95% of all acid from the water.”

Clean water is imperative for sustaining life for future generations. Welenco Water Well Technology have patent pending technology to custom build fixed or portable water treatment systems, with the ability to treat any waste stream and return the effluent to potable quality water, including waste streams composed of inorganic and organic compounds as well as biological pollutants. With this technology third world countries, especially, should never be without free-flowing purified water.

It is anticipated that the water treatment system will have many other applications to add to its purifying features. Welenco Water Well Technology’s acid recovery system is expected to be utilized in all manner of water purification, expeditiously in the case of a natural catastrophe or any other emergency situations that require potable water.

Bob Guardino explained, “Our patent pending processes can be used for total liquid waste remediation regardless of the liquid, and independent of whether the contaminants are suspended or dissolved. As such, our processes are applicable to the entire spectrum of effluents found in any type of industrial plant, be they glass plants, metal fabrication, paint facilities, paper mills, wood treatment facilities, mine tailing ponds, bilge water cleanup, power generation plant blow-down water ponds, insecticide and chemical plants or any other forms of waste, including those containing PCB, TCE, TNT, MTBE and other toxic waste substances.”

“The water treatment system can also be used as pretreatment for reverse osmosis (RO) filtration and dramatically reduces RO membrane fouling. In turn, this reduces the frequency of backwashing the RO membrane thereby extending the RO membrane life.”

The environment is as important as the air we breathe and clean water is imperative for sustaining life. Can the Entertainment Industry make a difference to the children of the world? Yes it can. 'We are the world, we are the children', the entertainment industry has a voice that can be heard.

BREAKING NEWS April 27th 2011: USA Radio Interview Judyth Piazza & Nina van der Plas: The American Perspective

Confronting? 'All Women Are Bitches & All Men Are Bastards'

ET World News - April 2011: Why is getting the relationship you want so darn difficult!

Fitness trainer and life coach Nina van der Plas has just released her first inspirational book ‘All Women are Bitches & All Men are Bastards’ to explain exactly what it is that is so conflicting between men and women where love and relationships are concerned.

The successful April launch of the book was held at Montego’s Restaurant at Double Bay on Kawana Island on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland, with copies of the book selling out. Overlooking clear blue waters from white sandy beaches the reflections of who we are as women and men glinted from the river.

‘Everything works in balance’ is the rule of life Nina van der Plas presents in her conquest to shine new light on co-habitation between the sexes, and the constant struggle both women and men have in an attempt to maintain a sense of self when falling head-over-heels in love.

Nina explained, “Connecting with people through the fitness industry you soon learn some incredible things about life and the search for ‘self’. Both sexes have deeper issues than just the way they look and the food they eat. In order to have the life you dream of, first you have to love yourself enough to overcome feelings of unworthiness and actually know what it is you want from life. ”

Nina’s motto is, ‘Everything we do is about assisting people in making positive changes that can be maintained for life’. The book ‘All Women are Bitches & All Men are Bastards’ is printed in New York and readily available through Nurture Within.

Am I a control freak? ‘All Women are Bitches & All Men are Bastards’ offers a simple answer. Women react from emotion and men reply from reasoning to tackle the complexities of life. Both sexes have to take responsibility for keeping relationships alive, through communication.

Children, both boys and girls, learn how to walk then talk, love and laugh while they struggle for dominance over one another. Nina van der Plas teaches adults how to live in harmony so as dreams can be fulfilled.

Nina is a striking young woman who cares about making life easier for those who fall head-over-heels in love only to find that compatibility is confronted by the flow of emotion tossing and turning within the tides of reasoning.
